"Imagine a completely unique television experience."

The challenge for each school will be to assemble a 10 member crew and create 45 second performance pieces blending the three main elements: dance, hoops and music. Then there'll be a battle before a panel of celebrity judges."Hoop de Ville" will be generating dynamic video from day one.

We'll start with a web-based talent search – asking performers to send us video clips of themselves in action. Street ballers, tumblers, cheerleaders, trumpet players, snare drummers, dancers... and mascots. And we'll post the best (and worst and funniest) clips we receive.

Simultaneously we'll be conducting live auditions at a gym here in Hollywood – shooting video all the while. Conducting drumline battles, dunk contests, freestyle dance-offs...

As these dynamic young performers compete to make the "Hoop de Ville" team, we'll find distribution channels here, there and everywhere. It's classic grass-roots branding.

Hoop de Ville as a scripted series has endless possibilities exploring the dynamic lives of these young college performers. They're multi-cultural, street-smart young adults. Filled with hope and doubt. Pursuing personal expression in a heartless world. It's rich stuff.
